What actually happens.
01.
Walk in

Someone at the front door will welcome you and point you towards the coffee bar, Canvas kids check-in, or wherever else you'd like to go.

02.
Singing

About 25 minutes. Feel free to engage in whatever way makes the most sense for you.

03.
Teaching

For 35 minutes we open the Bible and open our hearts for a teaching that is both encouraging and helpful – whether you believe in God or not.

04.
Reflection + Prayer

We end every service with one more song and time to reflect and respond to the teaching you just heard.

05.

From the community

What it’s like to find Canvas.

In their own words — neighbors, regulars, and people who walked in for the first time.

“Pastor Travis focuses less on life after death, and more on how to live fully, intentionally, and with purpose in the here and now. His messages are thoughtful, relevant, and often challenge me in the best ways.”

“Canvas has become my church home, and helped me find purpose when I felt directionless. Travis and Jena have really worked hard to create something special, and their dedication shows.”

William C. via Yelp

“I’ve been going to Canvas for about 10 years now, since the early days at the Presidio Theatre. It’s been such a meaningful part of my life.”

Ashley B. via Yelp

“I’ve attended Canvas for the past two years and can’t recommend it enough! Everyone is very welcoming and it’s an excellent place to build Christian community in a city where connection can be difficult.”

Ari B. via Yelp

“The most welcoming, community and service oriented church we’ve been to in SF!! Gorgeous location in the Presidio (easy parking), welcoming people, amazing worship, sermons, and events all month long. We love Canvas!”

Chloe B. via Google

“Our family has been attending Canvas for many years and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new church in the city. … Canvas Kids is the best! Canvas puts a strong emphasis on community and serving this beautiful city we get to call home all while learning more about Jesus.”
